From Limpopo village to WITS University for SA’s top maths student
South Africa’s best performing matric student in mathematics did not come from a fancy school from one of the big cities. Takalani Bambela hails from a small village in Limpopo and attended the Tshivhase Secondary School. Despite adverse circumstances the humble youngster emerged as the best performing school student in maths and intends to study actuarial science at WITS University. He credits his grandmother along with his teachers for his success.
