Didik Haryadi and Harris Turino, from the PDI-P faction, strongly criticized the policy's direction. They highlighted the government's ambitious plan, which is said to target up to 83,000 KDMPs, but deemed it failed to address fundamental questions regarding development priorities and real benefits for village residents. Didik Haryadi questioned the logic of expanding the Red and White cooperative development location to difficult areas, even alluding to the cooperative being built on a mountaintop. "How can we have a Red and White cooperative on a mountain? Some are building it face-to-face," Didik said. Meanwhile, Harris Turino emphasized that Bappenas, as a strategic institution, must be able to ensure that such a large program has a measurable design and a real impact on the community. Harris harshly criticized Bappenas for only prioritizing the Presidential Instruction regarding KDMP budget absorption, rather than prioritizing strategies to impact productivity and economic growth.
