The new 2024 Toyota C-HR boasts distinctive lines and efficient fuel consumption: it easily achieves 20 km per liter thanks to the Toyota full hybrid system. The model shown in the video combines a 98-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a 95-horsepower electric motor, for a combined 140 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of less than 10 seconds. The rather rigid suspension reduces body roll when changing direction and makes it stable on winding roads, even when you need extra power. In this case, the 1.8-liter engine makes its voice heard, but the overall soundproofing is good. The same goes for the e-CVT continuously variable transmission, which is quite fast and adapts to the driver's needs, offering a much less "scooter effect" than the previous generation. The ADAS package in this Lounge trim (one of the most extensive) is very comprehensive: in addition to adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and a 360° rearview camera, it also offers a system that brakes the car even when exiting a blind intersection and encountering other vehicles from the side. The interior is meticulously crafted, with soft materials, eco-leather, and fabrics on the enveloping and comfortable seats. The ambient lighting (configurable in 64 colors) is spectacular, the 12.3-inch digital dashboard is very comprehensive and functional, and the infotainment system with the same diagonal is responsive.
