New Years Eve (NYE) - New York City - 2000 (Y2K)

On December 31, 1999, I boarded the train from Springfield, MA to Penn Station, NYC to ring in Y2K in NYC. I brought with me my trusty 8mm camcorder and oversized bladder that allowed me to film the evening without break. I tried to get as close as possible to the center of Times Square, but it got filled very early in the afternoon. After, I slept on the floor of Penn Station and took the 6am train back to Springfield. This is not meant to be a perfect (or even halfway decent) view of the ball drop. It's just for posterity, and I included some recordings of the city and the streets from this time period. Enjoy this little time capsule from the year 2000! I guess this is considered a "Crowd View" of the ball drop. I am learning a lot from the comments.
