(PSALM 125:1 KJV) EXPLANATION: Beloved, may God’s promise revive our spirit and bless us today. Psalm 125:1 gives us today’s promise that those who trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion, firm and unshakable forever. Sometimes even small things exhaust us. If a child has a fever, the mother may immediately cry. When problems arise in family or personal life, we often feel unable to bear them. David said, “I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” (Psalm 16:8) Do the same, and your fears, anxieties, and burdens will flee. Unforeseen adversities shake our lives. Often, we first lose faith in our Lord and ask, “What will happen to me? Can I do this?” When the road ahead seems dark and doubts arise, faith is shaken. But those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. They cannot be moved. Believers, faith is vital. Fear and anxiety often grip people experiencing depression. Feeling they have no one to depend on, no one to trust, and no hopeful path ahead can throw them into deep confusion. But faith is our strong shield, making us firm and unshakable. How does faith come to us? “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) When we hear, meditate on, and accept God’s Word daily, faith takes root. When afflictions arise, the Word we have accepted reminds us that if we believe in God, we will not be shaken. This promise assures us that God can intervene supernaturally even in the darkest circumstances. Let our hearts be fixed, stand fast in hope, and believe in the Mighty One. Only God can give what the world cannot give. From this day on, let us draw strength from God’s Word and put our unshakable trust in Him. Will we receive this gift and walk boldly in His promise? Through His Word, we will remain steadfast amid life’s darkest tribulations. A family head who had worked hard and honestly for years was falsely accused by an envious subordinate. He submitted the matter to the LORD. His superiors failed to investigate properly and condemned him, yet he kept working with godly fear and unchanged integrity. Later, his accuser was heartbroken when doctors announced that his wife had a deadly disease. “Alas, it is because of my betrayal of this righteous man,” he cried, and apologized. The LORD then gave the righteous man greater honor in the same office than ever before. Yes, beloved ones, David endured many trials and afflictions from King Saul. But he strengthened himself in the LORD: “but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6) Likewise, do not be anxious or discouraged. Hold firmly to the LORD, the rock and high refuge. Then He will keep you from being shaken. PRAYER: Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that those who trust in You remain firm and unshakable. When fear, anxiety, unexpected problems, and darkness arise, help me not to lose faith. Fill my heart with Your Word and strengthen me to keep You always before me. Help me stand fast in hope, trust Your supernatural intervention, and remain faithful in every trial. Remove fear and discouragement, and help me hold firmly to You, my rock and high refuge.
