Surviving the Hardest TOAD Course I've Ever Raced | Shorewood Day 4 | Full Race + Data

Day 4 of the Tour of America's Dairyland, the Shorewood Crit in Milwaukee. Construction forced the race off the usual wide flat course onto a rerouted loop with real elevation, climbing and descending every single lap with no flat to recover. It might be the hardest TOAD course I have ever raced. This is the full race, both cameras and live power, heart rate, speed, and a course map on screen. My legs felt like they were in sand from the gun, four days deep into the block. So I rode it smart: sat mid-pack, saved every match I could, and tried to survive a race of pure attrition. A minor crash on turn three around lap 8 actually helped me, it brought a strung-out field back together right when the gaps were opening. Two moves decided it. A group of three got clear for the win, and late in the race my teammate Laszlo Alberti formed a two-man break and rode the smartest race on our team for 5th. I had three teammates out there today, the most Donkey Label presence of the week. I sprinted in with the lead bunch for 15th, and on a course like this I was happy just to survive it.
