Burkina Faso and Mali have warned that any military intervention in Niger would be considered a “declaration of war” against their nations. The warning came a day after West African leaders threatened to use "force" to reinstate the Niger’s deposed President Mohamed Bazoum. The West African regional grouping called ECOWAS also slapped financial sanctions on Niger’s coup leaders.
