FULL INTERVIEW: Reporter who’s followed Colemann Carver case breaks down coverage

Finnegan Daly was a senior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins when he died in January 2018. He lived at an off-campus house at 2524 Romeldale Lane, which he shared with roommates. One of them was Colemann Carver. This is Carver’s description of what happened the night Daly died. This interview followed an initial interview outside of his house. Police then took him to the station for more questions and a meeting with a victims’ advocate. Initially, the case was closed and Carver was not charged with a crime. The investigation was re-opened after a new piece of evidence, a Snapchat photo, was discovered. Carver has now pleaded guilty to a felony tampering with evidence charge.
