Shemya SlideShow 1975 Vs2

Photos taken during my trip to Shemya from SeaTac airport in April 1975. Travelled past Mt. Rainier, to Anchorage, AK, then to Adak, Aleutian Islands, eventually arriving at the island of Shemya, Aleutian Islands, AK. Included several additional odds and ends photo as well. The first version had several faux pax included. Towards the end of the show are photos of the "Cool Barge" having finally docked at Shemya's Alcan Harbor. The Barge brings in about 6 months of supplies to Shemya...food stuffs, toilet paper, etc. The barge had remained out at sea for a week or more waiting for the weather to subside so that it could safely dock. We had been short of food and other essential supplies, eating many powdered eggs, milk, etc. Reeve Aleutian Airlines would bring in some supplies as space permitted.
