In the early ‘90s, riders and manufacturers were engaged in an arms race to build the fastest, most aerodynamic bike possible. There were plenty of crazy designs, but the iconic Lotus Sport 110 was the coolest of them all. Colby Pearce used this Lotus 110 to set the American Hour Record in 1995 and Chris Boardman used another to set the World Hour Record in 1996. It was so fast that the UCI decided to ban it!
