Their story began over 200 years ago, when the British brought thousands of Tamil laborers from South India during the 19th century to work on Sri Lanka’s tea estates. They cleared forests, built the tea plantations, and played a major role in making Ceylon Tea famous around the world. Yet many families continue to face economic hardship and limited access to opportunities. In today’s vlog, we travel into the heart of the Madolsima tea estates to prepare and distribute essential grocery kits to Tamil plantation worker families.
