Flandern-Route - Tag 2

The second day of our Flanders tour was quite an experience. We set off from Lommel in the morning in cool temperatures. The heavens soon opened, and we cycled for many kilometers through sometimes torrential rain. Despite the conditions, Flanders also showed its beautiful side. We passed through the lovely town of Turnhout, whose historic old town and unique atmosphere we didn't want to miss despite the wet weather. Afterwards, our route took us towards Antwerp. We crossed the port city in pouring rain. Finally, we went through a tunnel under the Scheldt River to the other side. A special experience and one of the highlights of this leg of the journey.
