67th Edition of KVSA Meet Begins in Kohima

The 67th Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) Meet 2026 officially began with a grand opening ceremony at Khouchiezhie, Kohima Local Ground, bringing together tradition, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Held under the theme “Kevimerü” and featuring the Great Indian Barbet as the mascot, the week-long sports meet is hosted by the Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO) and will conclude on January 16, 2026. The opening ceremony was graced by Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and SCERT, who highlighted the importance of sports in daily life, health, discipline, and nation-building. He encouraged athletes to pursue sports with confidence while upholding humility, unity, and cultural values.
