Hotman Paris Ungkap Alasan Febrie Tak Ditahan: Belum Ada Bukti Tindak Pidana

According to Hotman, investigators did not yet have sufficient evidence to detain his client. "He was not detained because you saw it yourself; even elementary school children said it wasn't a crime; there was no evidence," Hotman said at the Attorney General's Office building on Friday (July 17, 2026). Meanwhile, another of Febrie's attorneys, Massagus Farisi, said that his office had filed a request for Febrie not to be detained. According to Hotman, Febrie has been cooperative by resigning from his position as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) after being named a suspect, thus preventing him from interfering with the ongoing legal process. Furthermore, the Jampidsus position has been filled by an acting (Plt) officer, and all evidence has been secured by investigators. Massagus also believes there is no reason for investigators to worry about Febrie fleeing the country. He stated that Febrie has been placed under travel ban.
