DIY Stone Cave Craft - Air Dry Clay Tutorial

DIY stone cave craft idea using air dry clay. In this video I am sharing idea to make simple stone cave with clay, painted with acrylic paints. Yeah..this time I share my painting steps 😁 I use paper bowl, cut it to about half of it to build the cave wall. You can use plastic bowl too but I think the paper one easier to handle. I use aluminium foil to build the base and wrap the bowl. I would then shape the cave. Next, I cover the interior wall and base with air dry clay, stop and wait until it's hard/dry. Then, I cover the exterior cave with clay and make stone texture with fingers. After that I add rough stone shape around the opening and waterfall. The cave design was inspired by Vivid Arts Miniature World - Dragon Cave. The original design was in grey stone colour but I prefer yellow stone so the waterfall stands out. I think this cave looks cool for miniature fairy garden, dragon or troll garden. In this tutorial I used Clayitnow "best homemade clay" air dry clay recipe.
