GCSE Science Biology (9-1) - Plant and Animal Cells - Cell Specialisation
In this video we look at the the GCSE Science Biology topic of plant and animal cells. We first look at the differences between eukaryotes and prokaryotes, then compare the organelles and their functions in both plant and animal cells. For your GCSE exams you are also expected to be able to give the function of specialised cells including sperm cells, nerve cells, muscle cells, xylem cells, phloem cells and root hair cells. We look closely at each of these specialised cells and explain how they perform their function. Time stamps: 0:45 plant and animal cell structures (eukaryotes) 3:20 bacterial cells structures (prokaryotes) 5:12 specialised animal cells 5:35 nerve cells structure and function 6:57 sperm cell structure and function 9:06 meristem cells 9:42 xylem tissue structure and function 10:32 phloem tissue 10:52 root hair cell structure and function Cell labelling worksheet - https://bit.ly/2O3bNOv Images and Video: Science Revision Channel Videoblocks Music Introduction: Aether - Darren King Main background: Becloud - Keith Kenniff Labelling worksheet to follow #GCSEplantandanimalcell #GCSEcellspecialisation
