I Compared the RD-2000 and Nord Piano 5 Actions. One Surprised Me.

In this video I compare the keybed action and playing feel of the Roland RD-2000 against the Nord Piano 5. This is not a full sound shootout. That will come separately. This one is about the part of the instrument your hands deal with every time you play: the action, the weight, the repetition, the soft control, the fatigue, and the confidence you feel when playing for a long set. The Roland RD-2000 uses Roland’s PHA-50 action. The Nord Piano 5 uses a premium Fatar-based triple sensor action with Nord’s Virtual Hammer Action Technology. Both are serious stage pianos, but they feel very different. In this comparison I look at: • Soft playing control • Fast repetition • Chords and voicing comfort • Playing near the fallboard • Forearm fatigue • Gigging and worship use • Weight and portability • Which type of player each board suits best Download the free Stage Piano Touch & Tone Scorecard: https://pianord.com/SPTouch Join PIANORD Lab: https://www.skool.com/pianord-5835/ PIANORD Lab is where I go deeper with Nord and stage piano workflows, sound choices, worship/gigging setup decisions, and practical guidance for serious players who want to get more from their instrument.
