But she really doesn't like the frame... The painting depicts Berlin's grand boulevard "Unter den Linden" and was painted in 1937 using chalk paints. The frame is likely from the same period. To restore the painting to its former glory, Elke wants to have it restored and a new frame made. She finds help with the Holly couple in Rhineland-Palatinate. After carefully cleaning the artwork, Ricarda Holly retouches the worn areas. Meanwhile, her husband crafts a new gilded frame for the piece. Once the glass and mat are cut to size, the restored artwork finds its new home in its fresh frame. Will it win Elke over?
