In Archadia, the four remaining Judges are discussing the current situation surrounding the Senate attempting to have Vayne tried and sentenced for his actions in Dalmasca against the Resistance. Judge Bergan, who is a strong supporter of Vayne suggests that the Imperial army is fully in support of Vayne and will not tolerate the Senate's actions to remove him. Judge Drace on the other hand is a bit more sceptical of Vayne and reminds Bergan about a past Judge called Zecht, another follower of Vayne who led the attack on the Republic of Nabudis but has not been seen since. Bergan, who also thought Judge Zecht was a fine warrior, questions Drace's words and asks if placing their trust in Vayne is a mistake. Drace responds that Vayne killed two of his own brothers and is a ruthless monster and such a person should not be in command of the Imperial Empire. Bergan completely disagrees and suggests that Vayne is the ideal person to command the Empire because he deals with traitors even if they are his own family with zero tolerance. Drace then turns to Zargabaath and asks for his opinion on Vayne killing two of his brothers. However Zargabaath rebuffs Drace and reminds her to watch her tongue because the matter she is referring to is in the past. At that moment, Judge Gabranth arrives and informs the other Judges that Vayne has arrived at the palace and they are to meet him. Before leaving, Drace comments to Gabranth that Larsa has left on his journey to Mt. Bur-Omisace to enlist the help of the Gran Kiltias. It is revealed here that Larsa's plan is to stop the Resistance from attacking Archadia and in doing so delay the invasion from Rozarria that would follow, thus giving Archadia time to strengthen it's own defences. This was the plan given to Larsa by Emperor Gramis and both Judges seem pleased that Larsa is doing so well with his task. Drace and Gabranth then reveal why the Senate want Vayne out of the picture so quickly. So that they can manipulate Larsa once he becomes Emperor as they would be unable to manipulate Vayne. Both Judges agree that Larsa is not the kind to be manipulated and once the Senate realise this, they will do what they can to get rid of him.
