Most recently, five prospective cooperative managers died during military-style training, and a massive corruption scandal hit the National Nutrition Agency. Yet, strangely, our representatives in the House of Representatives (DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) have chosen to remain silent. Why does the DPR seem to have lost its teeth? Why are the rights of interpellation and inquiry, once vigorous, now suddenly paralyzed?
