L'Histoire de Venise

This video is a short summary of the history of Venice; I hope you enjoy it. The images in the video are not precise, particularly in this video (it's difficult to find good-quality images for antiquity or the Middle Ages). The maps are also often more indicative, as are the dates (hence the "approximate" symbol). For example, the territories of the Ostrogoths or the Muslim world are far from representing the historical reality of the time. I also had to rely on sources that I can't necessarily be certain of for the creation of the maps. I used Euratlas and Cottereau's *The History of Europe: Every Year*. Sources: The City of Fortune - Roger Crowley *Various Wikipedia articles, mostly in English, such as: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economi... Music: Vic 2 Countryside Vivaldi Concerto for 4 Violins in B minor Vivaldi Winter Vic 2 Inventions Vivaldi Autumn Bach Bouree in E minor Details and notes: There are a number of pronunciation errors; I apologize again. I probably should have re-recorded the audio. Furthermore, I find the audio unsatisfactory; it lacks proper pauses. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the editing, which remains relatively basic. Just keep in mind that the images don't necessarily correspond to the video's content, particularly regarding the dates. There are a few "errors" or anachronisms, such as the term "Byzantine Empire," which, as far as I know, didn't exist before the end of the Empire. The video should obviously be taken with a grain of salt; I can't guarantee it's free of bias or historical inaccuracies. Therefore, I can only encourage you to read/watch other content on the subject, especially since, given the topic, many things are extremely simplified (like the Fourth Crusade). The flags are also for illustrative purposes only.
