ISIOLO GOVERNOR WARNS BANDITS,SAYS COUNTY WILL NOT TOLERATE INSECURITY AS PRESIDENT ORDERS CRACKDOWN

Isiolo County Governor Abdi Guyo has condemned the killings that have been reported in recent days, particularly the murder of a 16-year-old boy in the LMD area. Governor Guyo also expressed his deep concern over the rising cases of insecurity. Speaking at a public forum in Isiolo town, Governor Guyo said that he has already spoken with President William Ruto, who directed the Cabinet Secretary for Security, Kipchumba Murkomen, to carry out an immediate operation to flush out criminals who are terrorizing Isiolo residents and hiding in the surrounding hills. Governor Guyo stated that livestock theft is linked to an ongoing business run by a few individuals, whom he said must be firmly dealt with. He emphasized that he will not back down in ensuring that his people live in peace, and called on communities to expose criminals among them. Regarding the drought situation, Governor Guyo said that the national government and the county government will work together to provide assistance to residents affected by the drought. He made these remarks while leading celebrations to mark World Water Day at an event held in Isiolo.
