DAMA is an association of technical and business professionals whose purpose is to promote the understanding, development, and practice of managing data and information as key business assets to support the organization. It offers a framework to formalize how data is defined, produced, and used, integrating all relevant aspects (from technical aspects such as architecture, design, storage, operation, security, and privacy, to topics such as quality, master data, integration and interoperability, data warehousing, business intelligence, and big data) into a series of coherently interrelated activities.
