Indoor Skydiving Progression | Ep. 13: Chasing Docks & Fighting Turbulence

Turns out, flying up to another person and grabbing them is not nearly as easy as my instructor makes it look 😄 This session was all about practicing 2-way flying and making my first serious attempts at docking. Unfortunately, I haven't quite figured that one out yet. I seem to forget how to fly forward whenever I get close enough, and when I do finally commit, I tend to get an unexpected lift instead. No worries though - one more skill waiting for its inevitable "click" moment. We also did more vertical circles, our traditional warm-up game of tag, and spent more time learning how to deal with turbulence and disturbed air while sharing the wind with someone else. Sadly, we only realized after about three minutes that the camera hadn't been recording, so my initial warm-up flight has now disappeared into the abyss forever. A shame, because I would have loved to share that one. Flying with another person is still my absolute favourite part of tunnel flying. I just need to make friends with turbulence first 😁 Documenting the progression — the wins, the wobbles, the breakthroughs, and the occasional failed attempt to hug my instructor.
