With great joy and gratitude to Almighty God, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Paralakhemundi witnessed the Oath Taking Ceremony of the Parish Pastoral Council Members – 2026, held immediately after the Holy Mass. The solemn ceremony was prayerfully led by Rev. Fr. Ajit Kumar Nayak, Parish Priest of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, along with Rev. Fr. Christodas Raita, Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Stephen Pangola, the Religious Sisters, and in the gracious presence of the faithful parishioners. The newly elected Parish Pastoral Council Members took their oath before God and the Church, promising to serve the parish with faith, humility, unity, honesty, and dedication according to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the mission of the Catholic Church. 🌿 Parish Pastoral Council Members – 2026 President • Rev. Working together with the Parish Priest, the council helps strengthen the spiritual life of the parish, encourages evangelization, promotes unity among families, supports charitable works, assists in liturgical celebrations, nurtures the faith of children and youth, and guides parish activities for the glory of God. The oath taken before the Church signifies a sacred commitment to serve Christ with humility and love. Every leader is called not to seek authority but to become a faithful servant of God's people, following the example of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit fills every member with wisdom, courage, patience, and grace so that they may faithfully carry out their responsibilities for the growth of God's Kingdom. May St. Joseph, the Patron of our Parish, and Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for all our leaders and parish families. 🙏 Prayer (English) Heavenly Father, We thank You for blessing our parish with dedicated leaders. Fill them with the gifts of the Holy Spirit—wisdom, understanding, courage, patience, humility, and love. May they always seek Your will in every decision and faithfully serve Your people.
