Have you ever wished for relationships with NO conflicts? Probably all of us have but the reality is that even emotionally healthy relationships have conflicts. The goal is to develop peacemaking skills, not to wish for something unrealistic! Let’s learn together how to resolve relational conflicts in ways that honor both God and the people we have relationships with. Two simple things we can do is first, take responsibility, for our own thoughts, words and actions. Then once we hold ourselves accountable, we can then lovingly confront the other person to work through the conflict in a way that builds the relationship instead of tearing it down.
