Anita Carter - Voice Of The Bayou [HD]
Anita Carter sings 'Voice Of The Bayou' from her 1963 Mercury album 'Anita Carter Sings Folk Songs Old And New'. Carter was the daughter of Ezra and Maybelle of the Carter Family - the most famous singing family in country music. On this 1963 album she was the first to record the song that was the huge Johnny Cash hit 'Ring Of Fire'. Many songs collected or written by the Carter Family are sung by country and folk performers to this day; Joan Baez sang a number of them on her early albums.
