Seattle officer caught on bodycam laughing after collision that killed grad student

A newly released bodycam video from the Seattle Police Department (SPD) shows what appears to be two officers conversing and making light of an incident where an officer fatally struck a pedestrian in January. Neither of the two officers was the one who hit and killed the young woman., and according to the bodycam footage, the conversation appeared to take place shortly after the collision. In the video, you can hear Det. Daniel Auderer speaking to his coworker regarding the investigation of the fatal collision that happened in January. He noted how, at the time, he didn't believe a criminal investigation was being conducted. "I mean, he was going 50 (MPH). That's not out of control. That's not reckless for a trained driver," Auderer said in the video.
