Busweek 3: Day 2 Surfside NSW (Bustech MDi)

For day 2 of Busweek, we head across the border into New South Wales to travel on a Surfside Buslines Bustech MDi. When services need to operate around tight road conditions, or demand doesn't require a full-length bus, the Bustech MDi might be a great option. Too often, a 'one size fits all' approach leaves fleets operating oversized buses for very quiet services, or makes driving around tight, suburban streets difficult for drivers. I'm a big fan of a well-designed midi-bus and the MDi is generally pretty good, but there are a few ergonomic issues that aren't ideal, like poor visibility for passengers.
