This lawn renovation was taken down to the bare dirt, regraded, and seeded in Zenith Zoysia grass seed. The process is slow to start, but after the second month the Zenith Zoysia really takes off and thickens up. By the second growing season (1 year old), it will look identical to Zenith Zoysia sod. With a little bit of patience and hard work, you can have a nice Zenith Zoysia lawn for thousands of dollars less than sod. The going rate for installed sod in my area is $/square foot. 35,000 square feet = $35,000 Zenith and Compadre Zoysia are the only two cultivars available as seed.
