It's done! I installed a pump in my 10-meter Abyssinian well. I'll tell you how I installed the piping and am starting to pump it up. 🚰 PART 1: PUMP AND PIPING As a reminder, my well is 10 meters deep, with a 25 mm HDPE pipe. I got a heavy-duty pump and installed a simple and reliable piping system. We're connecting it, starting it up... 💧 PART 2: FIRST PIPING Every time I turn it on, water comes out. At first, it's mixed with sand and dirt. After 3-5 minutes, the water becomes visibly clear... BUT! 🤢 PART 3: SURPRISE – IT STINKS! The water is clean, but it has an unpleasant odor. It smells like hydrogen sulfide. Is this normal for a new well? How long will it take for it to clear up? I'm looking forward to your advice in the comments! 🧱 PART 4: GARAGE PLASTER I also bought some plaster. I'll soon be saving the back wall of the garage—it's time to fix it up.
