[My 15 Years of Experience Using Eyelid Tape and Tips for Reducing Strain] I've been using eyelid tape for about 15 years. In the past, mesh eyelid tape wouldn't adhere at all, so for the first 10 years or so, I used this stretchy type. There really are times when mesh doesn't suit you, so I think stretchy eyelid tape is a reliable option when you can't create a double eyelid. I think the reason it didn't work for me back then was because I was younger and my eyelids were firmer, so there wasn't enough room for the mesh to adhere. By not being too ambitious with the width, only using it during the day, and gently removing it, I've found that reducing the strain on the eyelids prevents them from stretching excessively. However, stretchy types do apply a slight pulling force, so the condition of the eyelids gradually changes due to this strain and aging. In fact, after using the stretchy type for a long time, the lines gradually became easier to create, and for the past 5 years or so, I've been able to create beautiful double eyelids with mesh eyelid tape as well. So, try mesh eyelid tape occasionally, and if you can create double eyelids with mesh tape, consider it lucky if you can switch to it! It's also recommended to eventually switch to a less burdensome mesh type.
