PREPARATIONS FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE EXERCISE In accordance with the Minister of National Defense's directive on organizing an emergency medical response exercise for the Central Military Hospital 108, today, General Nguyen Tan Cuong – Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defense – presided over the inspection of preparations and the comprehensive training for the exercise. OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2026 NORTHERN REGIONAL EXCELLENT ORATOR COMPETITION The opening ceremony of the 2026 Northern Region Regional Excellent Orator Competition was held today at the Headquarters of Military Region 1. Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, attended and delivered a speech guiding the competition. CONQUERING THE RED CROWD The 12th Army Corps' sniper competition has just concluded. The scorching summer sun of the North was a major challenge, but it couldn't compare to the pressure of the difficulty in the shooting exercises, where time was measured in seconds. If the daytime sun was blazing, the real challenge continued after sunset – visibility was obscured. So, what awaited them behind the scope? CHALLENGING THE LIMITS OF 12TH CORPS SNIPER SHOOTING COMPETITION Organized, tightly controlled, and fierce in every shooting exercise — that's what happened at the 12th Corps Sniper Shooting Competition. When fleeting, elusive targets and challenging shooting exercises constantly test the limits of the shooters, luck has no place. Achievement here is only recognized by practical skill and pure professional competence. SNIPER FORCES MEET MODERN COMBAT REQUIREMENTS In recent days, the Ministry of National Defence has directed military regions and corps to organize the 2026 Sniper Shooting Competition.
