The video shows the collaborative actions of the Station Signalman (PPKA), Conductor, and Train Driver as they perform "Point and Call" and exchange Semboyan (Signals) 40, 41, and 35. This compilation of Point and Call and signal exchanges was filmed on June 6, 2021, during my journey from Jakarta to Bandung, while I was in Bandung, and on my return trip to Jakarta. "Point and Call" is a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) used by railway operations staff to improve focus and accuracy, thereby minimizing errors. Semboyan 40 (S 40) This signal is performed by the Station Signalman (PPKA). The signalman blows a whistle and raises a special baton or a green light to indicate that the track is clear and the train is authorized to depart. 2. Semboyan 41 (S 41) This is an audible signal performed by the Train Conductor. They blow a hand whistle to indicate that the train is ready and authorized to depart. 3. Semboyan 35 (S 35) This is an audible signal performed by the train driver. The driver sounds the locomotive's horn in a long blast to acknowledge the Conductor and Signalman that the train is ready to depart. This signal is also typically used when the train is in motion if there are animals or people on the tracks. These three signals are exchanged whenever a passenger train is about to depart from a station.
