You have to try this type of testing if you teach High School!
This video covers an alternative type of testing you can use in social studies and science that is incredibly effective at the high school level. It includes using stimulus (maps, graphs, text, images, etc) about specific content. Students review the stimuli and answer a prompt based on that information combined with information they learned in class. This style of assessment not only improves student’s reading and writing skills, but also prepares them for their future. It also gives students a chance to show their ability to analyze a document and pull information from that document (student lead learning). Follow as I explain in depth, and as I work through it with my students! Want to use my template?
