Como Hacer un Kaftan, La Blusa, Vestido o Tunica Mas Facil

There's no garment easier to make or more versatile. It can be short for blouses or tops, or long for dresses, or floor-length for a tunic, evening gown, or even a bathrobe—depending on the length. It can be machine-sewn in less than 15 minutes or hand-sewn in less than half an hour. You can choose the fabrics or make them with old or new scarves, shawls, or pashminas. We'll show you how to make the fitted model and the most basic or simple one. To make a kaftan/caftan Materials: • Fabric or scarves – **we measured 1.80 x 1 m - 71" x 40" • Scissors, thread, and needle or sewing machine • Tape measure To see the measurements of fabric or scarves, etc. • Measure from the base of the neck to the desired length. • Decide the width (where it falls over the arms) • Buy fabric of the desired width and twice the length plus 6 cm for seams and hems. • Or use a scarf or two rectangular scarves… How To: Make the fitted blouse-style kaftan or short tunic with a pashmina or fabric measuring 1.80 x 1 m (71 x 40 inches). • Fold the fabric widthwise, leaving the right side showing. • Fold it lengthwise again to find the center. • Mark the center, open the fabric, and mark the desired neckline width (we used 30 cm). • Cut the neckline straight or shaped. Finish by sewing if necessary – depending on the fabric. • Leave approximately 25 cm. – 10" from the shoulders, open for the arms. • See hip width. Allow a minimum of 3 cm more on each side of the body. • We left 21 cm – 8.5" on each side of the body. • Draw a straight line from 25 cm to the hem on each side of the body and sew. See diagram. • Optional: Leave a little or a lot of free space at the hem for greater movement. • Optional: Mark buttonholes at the waist to allow for a belt… • If necessary, finish the sides and/or hem – depending on the fabric. • **We don't need to, since the scarf is finished on the sides and hem. • That's it! For the simple beige caftan: • Fold the fabric or scarf, leaving the right side inside (instead of outside, as with the fitted version). • Fold the fabric widthwise again (mark the center and neckline width) – same as the fitted version. • Cut in the center for the neckline. Sew if necessary (depending on the fabric). – same as the fitted version. • Leave approximately 25 cm. – 10" Open for the arms... just like fitted • From there, sew the sides to the bottom edge, leaving a little free space if desired. This is different from fitted. • Press the folds and turn right side out. Share it! Thank you very much. Download our FREE app for ANDROID: http://play.google.com/store/apps/det...
