Welcome to beautiful Sragen. Sragen is a regency in Central Java province. Sragen Regency is located approximately 30 km east of Surakarta City. This regency borders Grobogan Regency to the north, Ngawi Regency (East Java) to the east, Karanganyar Regency to the south, and Boyolali Regency to the west. Sragen has the motto "Sragen ASRI," which means "Safe, Healthy, Neat, Beautiful." Besides being famous for Mount Kemukus, where the tombs of Prince Samudro and Mrs. Ontrowulan are located, Sragen is also famous for its Sangiran Fossil Museum. The Sangiran Museum itself is a UNESCO-recognized archaeological site, containing fossils and bones of ancient humans. The museum is located in the Kalijambe and Gemolong districts, bordering Karanganyar Regency. On our right is the Sragen town square. The Sragen town square looks a bit quiet today, perhaps because it's been raining. If you're going to Sragen town square, come in the afternoon or evening. It's guaranteed to be very busy, as many young men and women hang out here. There are also vendors selling Sragen's typical food and drinks. We continue our journey along the streets of Sragen city.
