VIA Rail Corridor Action: Last Train in Smiths Falls

It was Canada Day yesterday, and so this week we're posting VIA trains every day, from a day at Smiths Falls back in May. Train 46 was the most on-time train we saw all day. The latest arrival at any station was just 11 minutes, and 10 at the final destination of Ottawa. Can anyone tell me why VIA's Corridor trains only seem to stop at some stations along the same route?
