Family TRANSFORMS bare land into MAGICAL Off-Grid Treehouse | TIMELAPSE

From the bare ground blanketed in needles, to high up among the swaying pines, come along with us as we transform a little corner of forgotten forest into a magical getaway just steps from home. We built this inviting treehouse as a family... every bit of land cleared, every hand milled tree, every beam hauled and lifted, and every lag screw driven home. We did it together, all for less than the cost of one family vacation. Did we always have the right tool for the job? Heck no. But what we lacked in resources, we gained in knowledge, ingenuity, and grit. Something our kids could never learn from a book. We came away from this massive project closer, stronger and with a place to rest, rejuvenate and relax, surrounded by the wondrous sights, smells and sounds of nature. From open air summertime meals on the deck, being serenaded by the toads and the loons... to snowy winter nights hunkered down, cozied up by the crackling fire and northern lights illuminating the sky. We are blessed to experience the best that Northern Minnesota has to offer. Every completed step gave us a new sense of excitement and motivation to keep going... even when it was -20 and windy, down pouring, or we were getting carried away by the mosquitoes. Every setback and challenge gave us an opportunity to think critically and make do with what we have... and ultimately gave us such a sense of accomplishment. We couldn't be more thankful that the Lord has given us this opportunity. Every day we are still able to get out there and build something with our hands is a day worth being thankful for. And as we've said before, we're so grateful for each and every one of you that God has placed in our lives.
