We have more inside scoop for all of you Potterheads out there and we can’t wait to share. Despite the fact that the first few Harry Potter films are catered towards children, movies like The Philosopher's Stone deal with some pretty dark content - 3 headed dogs, two faced professors, the Forbidden Forest, the list goes on. However, behind the scenes of the first movie was very much kid friendly - maybe a little too kid friendly. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, had Hogwarts as their playground and the rest of the children in the cast as their school mates. That meant that Director Chris Columbus had to deal with things like on set pranks, controlling and organizing 300 children at once, and the constant shenanigans that follow all 11 year old children. Not to mention some adorable crushes that developed amongst them. We’re taking a deep dive into what exactly the behind the scenes of The Philosopher’s Stone looked like, not only with the golden trio, but with the challenges they faced with props and costumes like Hermione’s fake teeth and the green contacts Daniel was meant to wear. There was also the added challenge of having main characters who didn’t have much acting experience, and you’ll soon see why this movie was only made possible because of all the effort put in by Chris Columbuus.
