Refreshed Cyber Digital Data and Technology CDDaT Capability Framework

Cyber incidents are becoming more frequent across local government. And when they hit, the impact isn’t just technical. Services can be disrupted. Payments delayed. Support for vulnerable residents affected. Over the past few months, the LGA has partnered with Public Digital, councils and national partners to update the Cyber Incident Grab Bag, building on lessons from real incidents across the sector. Grab Bag 2.0 introduces new service-specific guidance for: Adult social care, children’s services & finance, alongside clearer, practical actions to support response, including in complex operating environments. We launched the updated guidance on 27th April 2026, including how to use it in practice during an incident.
