Did North Korean leader Kim Jong-un really order a purge of senior officials?

Rumors of a North Korean purge appear to have been greatly exaggerated, but is there any truth to them? South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper cited an unnamed source in reporting the execution of Kim Hyok-chol, the North Korean negotiator who led talks with the U.S. before February’s Hanoi summit. The paper also claimed Chairman Kim Jong-un’s so-called right-hand man Kim Yong-chol was sent to a camp for re-education. This all prompted global reports and rumors, and the apparent disappearance of Chairman Kim’s own sister, Kim Yo-jong, seemed to imply she too might have been punished. But things are not always as they seem, especially when it comes to North Korea. #NorthKorea #KimJongun #purge Related articles: https://en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20190604... https://en.yna.co.kr/view/AEN20190603...
