रायपुर में मीटर रीडरों का प्रदर्शन, रोजगार सुरक्षा की मांग को लेकर कांग्रेस ने दिया समर्थन राजधानी रायपुर के डंगनिया स्थित बिजली कंपनी के एमडी कार्यालय के बाहर विद्युत मीटर रीडर श्रमिक संघ ने एक दिवसीय धरना-प्रदर्शन किया। श्रमिकों ने कहा कि स्मार्ट मीटर के साथ प्रस्तावित प्रीपेड (रिचार्ज) व्यवस्था लागू होने से उनके रोजगार पर असर पड़ सकता है। उन्होंने सरकार से मांग की कि मीटर रीडरों के रोजगार की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जाए और नई व्यवस्था लागू होने की स्थिति में वैकल्पिक रोजगार उपलब्ध कराया जाए। प्रदर्शन में कांग्रेस के कई नेताओं ने भी पहुंचकर श्रमिकों की मांगों का समर्थन किया.
