Adamodi Galade-Raga Charukesi

Raga Charukesi was popularized solely by Mani Iyer. Nobody was singing the raga until he took it up and made it popular. Mani Iyer usually sang certain Ragas extensively in Radio Concerts more than in Sabha Concerts. Charukesi was one of them, Begada was one such other Raga. In This 1964 Academy Concert, he Renders Adamodi Galade in Charukesi With the help of T.N. Krishnan and Vellore Ramabadran, and goes out of his usual way to sing an extensive nereval in this raga (This being a sabha concert).
