Davvero i bambini bevevano vino?
In the Middle Ages, wine consumption frequently led to abuse. Doctors and the Church recommended moderation, but awareness of alcohol's negative effects was limited. So much so that infants were weaned on bread and wine (light...), good red wine was recommended as a medicine for almost every ailment, and even clergymen drank it in abundance. I also discussed this in chapter nine of my book "Medioevo proibito." You can find it here: https://www.medioevoproibito.com/
