From Laser Physicist to Kentucky Farmer

First generation farmer Richard Preston shares how his non-traditional farming career evolved. A central-Kentucky boy was provided the best education in the world, but love of the land sent him back home to produce food for the world. He shares the challenges of farming: urban sprawl, public perception, volatility of inputs. He also explains how he is protecting the environment with his farming practices, such as no-till and water conservation methods. Provided by the Kentucky Corn Growers Association.
