Sparks SID Chip Synth
This video walks through Sparks' internal polyphonic synthesizer that you can play with MIDI notes. The synth is inspired by the SID Chip but we wrote the code from scratch. It’s a powerful and flexible instrument when paired with all of the analog tools on Sparks. In this demo we cover how to get started, review the different controls, and touch on some more advanced MIDI topics. Everything discussed in this video is documented in our online manual which can be found at: https://kinotoneaudio.com/sparks-manual 0:00 Overview 1:02 Patch Previews 2:01 SID Chip Background 3:34 Connecting a MIDI Controller 4:38 Selecting a MIDI Channel 5:46 Synth Controls 10:53 Syncing the LFO to MIDI Clock 13:32 Clock-Synced LFO Example with Guitar 13:46 Sparks & Digitakt - Advanced Topics 20:58 Saving Presets with PC Messages Filming/Recording/Mixing: Jaak Jensen
