Professor Carl Jones: The Story of the Echo Parakeet
Durrell's Chief Scientist, Professor Carl Jones tells us how he helped save the echo parakeet, which was once the world's rarest parrot, from the brink of extinction. By managing the wild population and through a captive breeding programme, the population increased from just 12 birds in the late 1980's to 650 birds in 2015.
