We are designing a client’s data and measurement strategy, and they recently asked us for a Markdown file. Not a beautifully designed strategy deck. Not a polished PDF. Not a video. Just a simple, structured document that could be read and used by both people and machines. It got us thinking: are we entering a world where the content we create is no longer just for human consumption? For years, organisations have invested in storytelling, design and creating compelling experiences through content. But as AI becomes embedded into how work gets done, does content now need to be engineered differently? Structured, reusable, searchable and machine-readable.
