ICI Learning Webinar: Can parenting programs help tackle child labour?
A supportive family environment is essential for children’s development and protection. In cocoa-growing communities in West Africa, where most child labour occurs within the household, caregivers play a crucial role in determining whether children engage in harmful work. Can parenting programmes help tackle child labour? In this webinar, experts from Johns Hopkins University, the International Rescue Committee, and ICI explore one parenting programme example, the Families Make the Difference programme. They discuss how the programme works, and what we learned from ICI’s recent pilot in Côte d’Ivoire. To learn more about the programme: https://www.cocoainitiative.org/news/...
